physical disk status from PowerShell

Hi,

I was wondering if its possible to get a list of hard drive controllers (RAID or not) and then drill down to volumes and physical disks using PowerShell. WMI or SNMP comes to mind but any other examples are welcome.

The main goal would by finding any degraded arrays and then provide the disk number and model so a replacement could be ordered / installed.

I can also imagine a very nice report showing all disks/volumes in a server.
