Are you trying with downloads.dell.com. Can you share the settings mentioned on the update page in lifecycle controller. If you are trying with downloads.dell.com, can you try only with https and share name as downloads.dell.com and keep all other fields as blank
Can you try doing update of server component using iDRAC and check the behavior. Sometime we observed firewall on the network blocking update from downloads.dell.com. Can you also verify from another machine on same network whether you able to download below file.
Yes, I can download that file just fine over the network.
The Dell repositories are definitely reachable. If I rollback the firmware to 4.32.10.00 the problem disappears and everything is just fine. It's only after updating to 4.40.00.00 that I get the swc0066 error.
What do you mean "try doing update of server component using iDRAC"? How exactly do I do that? I'm just using the "update firmware" feature in the LCC. I'm new to Dell so I need a little bit more help here. Thanks.
ok, so i downgraded idrac to 4.22.00.53 and now it works to search for updates from the lifecycle controller, so something is borked in the latest version of idrac (4.40.00.00)
@Daniel_123 / @njrard , This is an issue with latest iDRAC firmware 4.40.00.00. Next iDRAC firmware release will have fix for this. Mean time you can try with iDRAC GUI or try with older firmware

I have exactly the same problem. Screenshots are identical with exactly this error. Setting up a new R340.

i Shine, thanks for the link.
Following those instructions I don't get any error. After clicking "Check for update" I get the following 2 options:
As they are both optional, I haven't installed them.
But I still get the same error when trying to update via the LCC directly on the server.

just tried again searching for updates from the lifecycle controller, and it still doesn't work, i think i'll try downgrading the Idrac a bit later.

As I wrote above, that's exactly the same thing I'm seeing. After the iDrac downgrade it accesses the update server without a problem.
