We have recently upgraded Openmanage IT assistant to Openmanage Essential , Please help how can we export Non-compliance systems report in csv or html ?
Hello ,
I have been using Dell 7500 workstation with a great pleasure for a while.. Especially the cooling system was so great that I could render 3d max with no problem for long hours.. Therefore I upgraded my Dell computer with T7910. Unfortunately, there is only 1 small cooling system(fan) placed for 2 processor and they are placed ona after another. As a result of that the one at the back gets warm very quickly and can't cool off. Therefore the performance is decreasing very much. I need to understand why the latest version has the less performance than the oldest one. Why did you need this kinf of revision?Although tje latest one is more expensive I also needed to buy an extra cooler (fan)
Please let me know how you will make it up for me in order to have my works done properly.
Hi, we have Dell servers running Linux and MS SCOM as our monitoring tool. What options do we have when it comes to monitoring those servers in SCOM. I know there are management packs for Windows Dell servers but have not seen any for Linux.
Yes, the Out-of-Band capabilities are licensed per monitored host up till 100 nodes after which is becomes an unlimited licence but you can download a trial of the Management pack to test it first.
We have a Dell POWEREDGE T710 0J051K. A file system went read only, initially we rebooted and for a brief moment the file system was writable, but then went read only again. Upon investigating, OpenManage showed only 3 drives for one of the Controllers, one of those were in Predictive Failure. Upon replacing that one, the server actually showed 1 failed and 1 predictive failed drive. The failed was replaced and it rebuilt. After that, the server was rebooted again and the file system stayed writeable. Going back into OpenManage, it now shows 4 drives as part of the controller, 3 healthy and still the one in predictive failure, it will be replaced later today.
My question is, why did OpenManage only show the 3 drives as part of the Controller.

I am looking for documents supporting OME alert forwarding capability to forward SNMP to vROPs since ROPs can only handle SNMP traps.

Hi Rich,
You can find this on delltechcenter.com/ome and search on the page for 'forwarding'.
Also, most of the OME guys hang out in the OME forum linked at the top of this post.
Thanks!

Hi Jack,
You can use the Management Pack in SCOM to do the monitoring of the Dell servers directly to the iDRAC, this way your OS agnostic.
Take a look at: http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/systems-management/w/wiki/4111.openmanage-integration-suite-for-microsoft-system-center

Hi Martijn,
Thanks for the quick update. Is there any licensing involved with this?
Thank you
Jack
