KB932555 - GDR 2050 - Need to uninstall this update to SQL Server 2005 SP1

I have a SQL app that needs to run with only SP1 applied. In error the windows auto update was turned on and a series of updates were applied related to the KB above. When anyone launches the application now, they see a warning message, warning of data corruption. I know for a fact that the message is bogus and no data corruption will occur, but the App is smart enough to recognize that these updates have been applied and an auto warning displays.

I'm a relative rookie and want to know if it's safe to uninstall these updates. There are a total of 5 all labeled GDR 2050, related to Server Integration Services, Server Database Services, Server Analysis Services, Server Notification Services, Server Tools and Notification services.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Thank you for posting. I would contact the application developer. Ask them what they think about the issue and if it is a potentially known issue. They may be able to point you in the direction of resolve.

You can uninstall the updates, and SQL should be ok, but it really comes down to if the application will be ok. Once again, contact the app developer for this answer. support.microsoft.com doesn't have information related to your issue, so if you uninstall the updates, make sure you have a good backup. Thank you.

Thanks for the feed back.

I'm sure the app will be fine, I'm more concerned about SQL. As this is the production server I don't want to cause any headaches.
