ftp.dell.com decommissioned?

Hello all,

Today we're trying to update the firmware on one of our old R710's, but we cannot seem to connect to ftp.dell.com via the lifecycle controller FTP firmware update.

After much googling, I found one post on this forum suggesting that ftp.dell.com has been decommissioned:

http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/servers/f/177/t/19999736

But I CAN still browse the FTP directories, like: 

http://ftp.dell.com/Browse_for_Drivers/Servers,%20Storage%20and%20Networking/PowerEdge/PowerEdge%20R710/

So I'm not sure what's going on.  After a lot of searching all over the web I haven't found anyone else mention ftp.dell.com being decommissioned, or any alternatives for ftp.dell.com firmware updates.

Can anyone shed some more light on this subject?  Do we just have to create our own repositories now?
