Can't use as wifi hotspot
I can't find where I'm supposed to be able to use my Streak as a portable wifi hotspot. This was the main reason why I've soooooooo been looking forward to 2.2 that I finally upgraded to today. When I go to settings>Wireless & networks it's not there.
No Events found!

Try downloading Quick Settings. CNET has an article entitled "How to enable tethering on the LG Optimus V". I you may find it useful.

Hi,
You may follow the steps below to activate Portable Wi-Fi hotspot :
1. Press Home , press Menu , and touch Settings to open the Settings application.
2. Touch Wireless & networks > Tethering & portable hotspot.
3. Check Portable Wi-Fi hotspot.
Please note, after a moment, the phone starts broadcasting its Wi-Fi network name (SSID), so you can connect to it with up to 8 computers or other devices. An ongoing notification is added to the Status bar and Notifications panel. When Portable Wi-Fi hotspot is checked, you can change its network name or secure it.
Uncheck Portable Wi-Fi hotspot to stop sharing your data connection via Wi- Fi.
