Connect to app store

Got a venue 8 pro for Christmas. The first afternoon things worked well then it stopped connecting to the app store. I get a white screen and a message saying "Loading Store" and finally a messaging that it was unable to connect to the app store.  I have ran wrest.exe several times and get the same white screen.
