Lock desktop icons in place?
My desktop icons keep getting re-arranged on me.
Changing from portrait to landscape mode doesn't help the situation either (might make it worse).
But we need to go from p to l mode all the time, so this shouldn't be a factor.
Any tips on how to lock them in place permanently?
I have right-clicked on the desktop and don't have auto-arrange selected.

It happens to me too, but I have a free utility installed on all my computers that puts the icons back in their place.
DesktopOK - http://www.softwareok.com/?seite=Freeware/DesktopOK
Just put your icons back,in order, launch DesktopOK, and click on Save. Next time they get out of whack, launch DesktpOK, and click on Restore.
I don't have the need, but it can save multiple icon arrangement's.
