So I downloaded and tried installing the driver that was released today thinking it would provide a little more stability with the stylus input, but I ran into a problem. While trying to install the driver, I get the following error message.
Any ideas?

Brian, are there any updates intended for Venue 8 Pro, which aren't offered thu Dell's Auto-detect?

That's the issue. The firmware that was loaded is what gave me the error. Now touch will not work. This firmware seems to be an update to the original. Is there a way to load the original firmware so that I can at least get it back working?

Hey Kamau1906 if you have access to a hub with keyboard/mouse can you check a few things.
1. Post the error listed in the device manger
2. Run the driver pack it has the Touch driver included - let me know if this fixed the issue.
Can you PM with the Service tag of the system.
Thanks
Erin

I just had this issue too. I am seriously questioning Dell's QA department at the moment, the following issues are outstanding and un-addressed by Dell:

The drivers that has an unsigned setup.exe file - Intel_Chipset_WW51_PR7_A04_ZPE
The drivers extract, but the setup.exe that must be run is unsigned, see screenshot below. Either Intel or Dell decided to release this to their user-base without signing it. How do we know this is from a legit source! =
