Panel Touch Firmware Venue 11 Pro 7130 problem

So I downloaded and tried installing the driver that was released today thinking it would provide a little more stability with the stylus input, but I ran into a problem.  While trying to install the driver, I get the following error message.

Any ideas?

That's the issue.  The firmware that was loaded is what gave me the error.  Now touch will not work. This firmware seems to be an update to the original. Is there a way to load the original firmware so that I can at least get it back working?

Hey Kamau1906  if you have access to a hub with keyboard/mouse can you check a few things.

1. Post the error listed in the device manger

2. Run the driver pack  it has the Touch driver included - let me know if this fixed the issue.

Can you PM with the Service tag of the system.

Thanks

Erin

I just had this issue too. I am seriously questioning Dell's QA department at the moment, the following issues are outstanding and un-addressed by Dell:

  • The latest Intel based drivers for the Venue 11 Pro (5130) from Dell - the installer is not signed - so Windows flags it as potential malware.
  • This issue that you get an error message if you have the keyboard attached, with no help or useful error message.
  • The issue of displaying lower than 1920x1080 resolutions on an external display having black borders all the way around.
  • The DisplayPort not working on the Dock, not working at all.
  • The HDMI out works, but is messy as the drivers keep trying to connect to a non-existent wireless display.

The drivers that has an unsigned setup.exe file - Intel_Chipset_WW51_PR7_A04_ZPE

The drivers extract, but the setup.exe that must be run is unsigned, see screenshot below. Either Intel or Dell decided to release this to their user-base without signing it. How do we know this is from a legit source! =
