EMC - refresh of contract data failed

Hi,
We're managing an Unity 300 device and recently we noticed this error in the logs: "automatic refresh of contract data failed due to wrong contract format".
Does anyone knows what exactly this means? I know for a fact the contract has been properly renewed recently.
