Implement 3-way NDMP backup with EMC Networker on Dell EMC Unity 400
Hi all,
First of all, I'm not good at English so I know my grammar will be very bad. Pls forgive me about that.
I want to backup a file system from NAS Server in EMC Unity using 3-way NDMP. I have searched a lot of document, and I found out that Dell EMC Unity just need to enable NDMP and configure password for ndmp user. Am i correct?
On Networker, I have successfully added NAS Server as client. But when I looked for Save Set, I have message: "This host does not support browsing of its NDMP filesystem
Of course I can't backup. So do u guys have any suggestions or any documents for me? Tks

correct - all you need to do on the Unity is to enable NDMP and set the password
Which Networker version are you using ?

Hi Rainer_EMC,
Tks for your reply.
I'm currently using Networker v9.2 on Microsoft Window Server 2012 R2.

there is a section here on community forums dedicated to Networker
I would suggest to ask about the Networker side of the config there

Hi,
Have you fixed this problem? I met the same problem and didn't know how to fix it.
Thanks,
Alice

one way to solve it is to enter the path name manually instead of browsing
Otherwise I would suggest to ask at the Networker forum
Besides - if people just come here to post their problem but dont take the time to come back and post was the solution was then you have to live with incomplete answers

check the visibility of the share/file system from the backup tool. Later add to the scheduling script if any in the backup tool.

Unfortunately, Unity does not support to browse Filesystem here.
While adding Unity as NDMP Client of NetWorker, you can get the filesystem list at one page of the wizard.
Here is an example:
