Is there an issue with the UnityVSA community edition licensing URL?

https://www.delltechnologies.com/en-us/auth/elmeval.htm

The Not Connected. Verify Network error is seen.  Tried IE, Edge, Chrome, Firefox.

This no longer works, as it redirects to Delltechnologies.com again and doing a tracert to delltechnologies.com blanks out at hop IP 12.88.15.210 and never comes backDellTracert.jpg

Hi All,

I'm trying to obtain a license for unityVSA community edition but I receive on this page https://www.delltechnologies.com/en-us/auth/elmeval.htm
 "Network Error, Verify Connection".

I've downloaded the .ova file from this link
https://www.dell.com/en-us/dt/products-solutions/trial-software-download/eula/unityvsa.htm

Yesterday evening I have called the EMC phone support and they confirmed that the community edition still exist but anyone can help me to generate the .lic file?

Thank you,

 Steve

Hey steve, any update for this issue? "Network error, verify connection"?

March 30th, 2022 05:00

Hi ardhan,

still same error, but I have some new pieces of informations: I've called some numbers of EMC Customer Care and they told me that the Community Edition still exist but they have to open an internal case to License Division to investigate on this error.

Also I have received a pm from a Moderator and he told me that they are still working on it but the rapid solution is contact emc sales rep (if you have one) to generate a license.

Via Customer care number is a little bit difficult because they ask a LAC number or SiteID so I have to explain that the unityVSA CE doesn't have...

If I'll have some news, I'll reply on this topic.

Steve

Same Problem here,
the generated UUID of my Appliance 5.1.0.0.5.394 is C10BEB35-D9D6-D32F-9495-D815E996AB1B (Serial VIRT220786NQ6P) and getting Network Error or Bad Request on the registration sites.

Any Idea how to activate the Community Edition currently?

Best Regards, Ulrich

But which of the options is actually fitting to the free Community Edition? There's no order ID or whatsoever, which seems to be needed to start a support request or chat...
