License key for Unity VSA

Question

Hi team, I installed EMC Unity Appliance on my Lab setup to test .During initial configuration, it’s prompting License key to enter, So is there any trail License Key to register to use product for test ? I've followed the instructions on   www.emc.com/getunity  to request a license key with no luck page says I am not connected - check Network - no idea what's that Thanks

Hi,Thanks for your question. The license site is not working. The only way to get a license is to call phone support, it is not something we can provide on the forums.   Information needed in the Service Request:• Software Part Numbers – 456-110-674    UnityVSA CE 4TB=IC• Quantity/Capacity – Qty 1      Machine information: UUID           Site Info           If this is a Dark Site, please inform Licensing of this           Reason for trial license = UVSA CE Trial License Website is down

Did they provide you with a case number? Which country are you in? I unfortunately do not have the ability to create the licenses.

I called (calling 800-782-4362, option 4, option 4, (at any time) ) and provided that information and looks like no one knows about that software. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks

I cannot open a case because I do not have site info or service tag. I am in US.

The only way is to call in to support, I was not able to get this resolved through the private message.

I'm having the exact same issue. Couldn't find a functioning web portal to generate a trial license, so I called the support number listed above and they didn't know what software I was talking about, and also insisted on site info or service tag. After considerable trouble, they were able to open support case for me. Here's to hoping I actually get some licenses to test with in due course. Trial testing a product should not be this difficult.

Five days later and still no trial licenses. Dell support has transferred my ticket multiple times, asked for the same information repeatedly, I've called repeatedly to check on status of my case and yet still...nothing. At this point, I am dropping Dell Unity VSAN from our evaluation and moving on to other VSAN product offerings. Shame, as it looked like Unity had potential, but I cannot recommend a product with such poor support to our customers.
