Unity Migration Options from IBM SVC
Are there any native migration tools that can be implemented to migrate to Unity from SVC besides host based, vmotion and LVM?

not on Unity currently
not sure what SVC offers - doesnt it allow to mirror to Unity and then detach the mirror ?

Hi msilwal,
You can migrate storage out of SVC by making the Unity array external storage and then exporting from SVC by using image mode volumes. Also, Rainer_EMC is correct, you can do volume copies from SVC, again, you'd have to make the Unity an external array.

Followup question once we do the Image mode copy on SVC can unity lun be presented standalone without going through SVC?

Yes. Once they're synched up, all of the data will be on your Unity volume.
