File filtering is the same on Unity as on VNX – please see the VNX file filtering PDF manual

hi Rainer .... thanks  for the quick responce ,,,

I found VNX cmd reference page 817 saying * can be used for wild card in vc setting ...

so it would be ok to use * for file txtension filtering ...

And with you saying ,,,, concluded Unity also can use * for wild card on file extention filtering .

Got conformation from Support....file extension filtering is not yet implemented on Unity platform.

I dont think that is correct – they might mix up file filtering with CEPA

Please post the SR number

Hi freind,

Rainer is right. I tested this in the lab and able to get this working correctly by following the KB 321443 but It is not very straight forward yet, so will get that in a kb after few testings.

the procedure is not user friendly yet, will write a kb in a week.

Found an easy way so wrote KB 491654 to document this for Unity.

Though not 100% match on the procedures, the principle is same as VNX Arrays

ayas - It is not possible to do wild card so every type that need to be blocked must be given explicitely (like ppt@share, pptx@share).
