Hi @DELL-Sam L / @pahlevanihamed

Same problem here using this link: https://www.delltechnologies.com/en-us/auth/elmeval.htm

When I click on sign in to authenticate, it goes back to https://www.delltechnologies.com/en-us/auth/elmeval.htm as if there was a loop. I tried with IE/Firefox/Chrome => same results

I read this kb (https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-ie/484570) but it didn't help me fix this issue.

Is there any issue from your side?

Regards,

Hello aamora,

There is an issue with the link and they are working to resolve it.

Hi @DELL-Sam L

one month later and still no updates on this issue. The licensing site provides the same error - no connected/verify network

Is there another way to get this community license? Where to open a case or chat online strictly on this matter, otherwise all other site regarding licensing are for paid versions (Dell Digital Locker).

Br,

Catalin

@DELL-Sam L

Are they looking with their eyes? or something else?

What are they looking at for a month then?

Just put a generator or something up it should be a community edition.

For me its to study for vmware and a customer has unity running. But seeing how bad this support of Dell is. I would not recommend this product anyway.

Furthermore this issue seems to be reoccurring every few months:
So either it was never resolved or you gotten the issue again.

Either way just let us know, if you tell me that its not going to be working this and next month just be fair and tell us. (and I will delete this vsa).

Thanks for this update. When I tried the workaround instructions after an initial authentication I'm redirected to a Partner Sign-in page, but when I got to log in again I am not a Partner, so I can't authenticate.

I am trying to use a personal email address to register for the Community Edition license. My goal here is to be able to use the VSA for the purpose of learning about Unity while studying for certification.

Is it possible to license the Community Edition with a personal email address for registration, or do I need to be a registered partner?

Once again, all assistance is appreciated....

Hi all,

We have a number of engineers looking into this issue but we certainly appreciate your patience as we work through this. In the meantime, there is a workaround that should allow you to download the license using the following steps:

  1. Go to Sales Portal authenticated homepage: https://www.delltechnologies.com/sales/en-us/auth/index.htm
    • You will be authenticated once you click this link
  2. Go back to the page: https://www.delltechnologies.com/en-us/auth/elmeval.htm
    • You'll notice your username should now be displayed in the header in the top right of the page
  3. Once you see the username displayed in the header, try again to submit the request.

Please let me know if this resolves your issue. We apologize for the inconvenience and we are working to get this issue resolved as soon as possible.

Hi @Jason__F @GronkHead ,

Thanks for the suggested workaround. Unfortunately, like Gronkhead, it doesn't seem to work:

"1- Go to Sales Portal authenticated homepage: https://www.delltechnologies.com/sales/en-us/auth/index.htm"

I enter first my credentials as below:

Once credentials entered, I get redirected to this page without being successfully authenticated:

I then click on log in (top right) and enter again my credentials but then get redirected to the same initial page (I'm using my personal email address, I'm not a partner). I think I encountered same issue as Gronkhead:

Is it possible to license the Community Edition with a personal email address for registration, or do I need to be a registered partner?

@xkata : you managed to keep logged in, did you use a personal or partner email address to authenticate?

Thanks all for your help on this!
