VMAX FCoE not logging into Nexus 5548

I am trying to connect my VMAX using FCoE directly to my nexus 5548 using OM3 fiber.  For the life of me I can't get the VMAX to login at any of the 4 ports.  I have found others with the same issue, usually using Netapp or VNX, and their 5548 settings do not seem to help at all.  I have also found the info on QOS settings that need to be enabled, but that does not help either.  I do have the FCoE feature enabled on the switch, that was the first thing I did when setting this up as it requires a switch reboot.  I have a case with Cisco, and they say my settings are good on the 5548, I have worked with of their engineers now.  Is there anything I need to do on the VMAX ports to get them to login directly to the 5548 (no brocade or mds between)?  Cisco also said that I may have have the wrong adapters in my VMAX ports, but I was under the impression that the 10GE adapters were the same for iSCSI and FCoE.  If it helps at all, I will paste the list -v output for one of the ports connected to the switch.  Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Shawn, it appears the storage interface you are using is configured for iSCSI instead of FCoE?  The director identification is "SE" and I would expect it to be "FE" for FCoE.

I've setup FCoE on VMAX several times and as long as the interfaces on the Cisco switches are configured properly, the VMAX will just login.

Hope this helps.

I recieved an email from emc support while posting my last message, and they said the hardware is correct and I actually need a BIN change instead of different hardware.  Just FYI in case anyone else runs into the same issue.

Thank you Erik, seems I may have been shipped the wrong hardware then.  The slick card does say FCoE on it, so I wasn't certain if iSCSI and FCoE work over the same GBIC/SFP and some type of conversion could be done, but I guess I will just have to contact my account rep and see what they have to say.  Thank you for the input, I appreciate it.
