API to manage VNX devices remotely
Hi,
I would like to develop a Java client to manage a VNX array and perform basics operations (create/retrieve/delete pools and luns, iscsi operations, etc.).
I've been looking everywhere to find an existing API to manage remotely VNX devices, but i couldn't find any concrete documentation or Java examples how to do it.
So my question is, nowadays, is it possible to perform such a thing ? For example is there a RESTful API in XML or JSON ?

You can get some articles on Powerlink that can help you with the API information for programming.
eg:

- Software Development Kit Remote API Programmer’s Guide.pdf

Hello Parrig,
I am using CLI command scripts to monitor our VNX as of now. If you have any documents per se that contains APIs that can monitor VNX I can take a look at the coverage (CLI vs API) and see if I can port. So please send those docs to my login ID 'developarvind at gmail dot com' Thank you!

I want to extract storage usage data and performance data of EMC VNX storage devices using REST API python in json format or xml format. Is there any document which contains all the resource url to connect to diff. resources or any example or cookbook?

Unlike Unity the VNX series has no native REST API
you would have to use different API's for block vs. file performance stats.
