CX4 120 to VNX 5300 Mirrorview/A setup
We are looking to provide a DR solution to a customer who has a dedicated CX4-120 Array and we want to setup a Mirrorview/A to a shared VNX 5300 at a remote site. We will be replicating over IP using FCIP devices, and may also look to utilise ISCSI connections on the SP's of CX4 and VNX as the Mirrorview/A Ports if we do not have enough FC ports left. Are there any major restrictions doing this, apart from OE and Flare code and any big gotchas.
Thanks
Andy

Hi,
I would recommend you to refer the Mirrorview Knowledgebook from the below link for more information.
Page 14 and 15
https://support.emc.com/docu32906_White-Paper:-MirrorView-Knowledgebook:-Releases-30---32---A-Detailed-Review.pdf?
Which would give you clear information when using FC and iSCSI.
You may also refer Page 32 for Mirrorview Software Interop between VNX and CX Arrays

always suggest you upgrade the flare to the latest version on both arrays before creating the mirror.

There are also some useful KBs for the restrictions for using iSCSI on VNX (CLARiiON),
