Can we migrate a NFS File System on File Storage Data to a iscsci LUN on Block Storage?
We configured a 1 TB NFS File system on a Virtual Data Mover on NFS server (interface on Production VLAN on our active Data Mover). This NFS File system is presented it to our ESX5i Cluster Hosts & is seen as a NFS Datastore on the ESX hosts(which uses iscsci VLAN for connectivity to block storage), as its ips are allowed access.
This datastore is used for savings Vmware templates & basically used for deploying vms.
However, while deploying vm machines from this template, we see that the Network Core Switch CPU goes high (99%). Maybe due to routing issue from our Production VLAn to the VLAN used by our ESX hosts.
Hence, we are now looking to Migrate its data to our iscsci LUN i.e. Block Storage.
Question: Is LUN Migration from File Storage to Block Storage is Possible? If yes, please elaborate the steps of achieving the same?

Yes, we know its possible from client side using storage vMotion. However, during storage vMotion, we are facing slow performance issues & Network switch cpu rises to 99%.

Only from the client side - like storage vMotion

From the storage side a file system and a LUN have very different data structures
A VNX file system contains the uxfs file system native to the VNX – an LUN that you used on the vSphere server contains the vmWare file system.
Since all the copy / migration capabilies on the VNX work block level it is not possible to use them in this case
