Celerra NDMP backups to Sepaton VTL
Hi forum,
is anybody doing NDMP backups from an EMC Celarra to a Sepaton S2100 VTL and can share experiences? We have zoned the VTL to one of the datamovers but cannot see any virtual tapedrive. Is there anything we can do on the Celerra side for the virtual tape devices to be recognized as such?

once you presented supported types of changer/tape drives to datamovers you will need to peform these steps:
1) List all non-disk devices
server_devconfig server_2 -list -scsi -nondisks
2) See what devices will be created
server_devconfig server_2 -probe -scsi -nondisks
3) Actually create tape/changer devices
server_devconfig server_2 -create -scsi -nondisks
now if you run "server_devconfig server_2 -list -scsi -nondisks" again you should see your tape drives.
