DPE and 4 OS Disks
Is it recommended to use the first 4 disks (0-3) on the DPE to be used in storage pools as the storage OS resides on them?

Actually you cant - only complete disks

the first 4 Disks are used for Vayult area and cant be used in Storage pool . but you can use them in RG and better you knoiw that EMC does recommebd to leave it free without any User I/O on it

I asume lots of customers do actually want to use these disks. What I always recommend is to create a single RG and place low I/O data on it. like ISOs or other images. Or a tool shed area which aren't accessed a lot.
