How to consider FAST Cache performance impacts?

Hello,

when planning a new system you have to decide between a capacity oriented design or a more performance oriented design based on the given requirements. If the design is performance oriented you need to consider i.e. more disks, SAS instead of NL-SAS, low capacity and high rotational disks. How can I take FAST Cache performance improvements into a sizing calculation?

Thanks and best regards,

Dieter

ok - then I suggest you work with your EMC TC

there are EMC internal sizing tools that take into account FAST and FAST Cache

An end customer. We met last week at our VNX roadmap session...

Of course I can do that. But I'm wondering if there are other members in this forum who can provide their best practices?
