Managing VNX from OSX

Folks,

Has anyone figured out how to manage VNX from OSX ? I can't get neither Firefox/Chrome/Safari to login to Unisphere, in fact i don't even get to login page, EMC Unisphere just spins there forever.  I am trying to get way from using Fusion VM just to get into Unisphere.

My config:

OSX 10.8.5

Firefox 23

Java - 7 Update 25

Thank you

I use VMware Fusion and run a Windows XP VM to do just that.

In a past life, I could get Unisphere working on Firefox and Safari 10.7, but the 10.8 Developer Preview was broken.  I noticed Safari was a different version completely on the 10.8 preview, but I wasn't there long enough to try Unisphere from Firefox.

yeah, i can't get any browser to work right now. 10.9 is right around the corner but i really doubt Tim Cook is concern with making Safari work with Unisphere

Ha!  Yeah, I think you're spot on.  I called my coworker back at the U and had him check something out.  It seems like on 10.7 we could only get Unisphere to work by allowing unsigned Java apps.  I think Unisphere is asking for too much privilege for Safari to be happy.  Maybe there's a way to sandbox Java and lower the security settings for just the Unisphere runtime?

I too have a Windows7 VM under fusion to use EMC tools - Unisphere and others. Would be nice if there was a Unisphere VNX Client for OSX.

confirmed that i have success getting into Unisphere and managing my VNX using Firefox and Safari, I already had Java 7 installed so i followed these instructions word by word.

Java for OS X 2013-002: How to re-enable the Apple-provided Java SE 6 web plug-in and Web Start functionality.
