i can think of two options:
1) Investigate if your Backup Exec installation includes NDMP licenses (most reliable method)
2) mount CIFS share on a windows server and backup it up using the agent (not very reliable as ACLs might prevent your access)

Backup Exec should be able to backup the VNX via NDMP

What version of Backup Exec are you using? Backup Exec 2012 and 2014 supports backing up VNC 5300. check out the following link for information on Configuring share level backup jobs in Backup Exec 2012

Hello All ,
Thanks for the reply.Yes I found NDNP option in my Symantec BackupExe but it is for 60 days only.I guess this a licensing issue which I can sort with Symantec.
My issuse is when I am going to configure this for EMC it gives me an error Unable to connect to the NDNP server.Wheather I need to enable it on VNC box ,what would be the NDNP Server hostname ?
Another Question can i take a backup on disk once I configure NDNP or it required a TAP library ?

BTW this is actually the developer network section here - your question would fit better in the Support section
