Process to replacing a failed drive in VNX.

I am a newbie to the storage world, my company just purchased a VNX, so pardon me for the question.

1. I have a data pool called it Log Pool with 4 drives.

2. One of the drive came up as removed.

3. The Hot Spear took over.

The quesiton is, how do I replace the failed drive.  I would assume I would just remove it, since it is already marked as "Remove".  There is an option for Replace failed drive, when do I click on this link, after the new drive is in or before.

And does the Hot spear now stays with the Log Pool.  When I clicked on  the Log pool, it is showing 3 drives and 1 removed drive.  Is this how it will look from now on or am I somehow to get the Hot spear drive and move it somehow under the Log Pool.

Or when I replace the failed drive, it will auto move the date back from the Hot Spear to the new drive?

Thank you for your help.

Easiest way would be to download and use USM (Unisphere Service Manager). It will walk you through the steps. Basically it will instruct you to remove the failed drive, insert new drive. VNX will begin rebuilding onto replacement drive and host spare will go back to its original status. VNX2 does not use the same process.
