VNXe1600 via FC
Hi All
I am looking at refreshing our VEEAM environment and am looking to purchase storage for a FC connection to a physical windows host.
Can someone confirm I can do Direct Attach FC with the EMC VNXe1600, I found a blog post of it being done with VNXe3200
Any advice or input much appreciated

Hi,
Direct attach host is possible in VNXe1600, yes you can use the onboard CNA for FC.

but are you sure you have an I/O module slot empty for a new I/O module ?

Hi
I assumed I could just use the onboard CNA for FC to the physical host ? or am I missing something ....

Yes you can use the CNA
I thought you were asking about adding FC to an existing system where the CNA is already used
