Hi Robert,

You may monitor the same in Settings-->Shared folder server if Anti-Virus is running or not. This is same as CAVA is running or not.

There is no way to generate any alerts if CAVA service stops.

Yes. That is possible.

Login to SSH session of VNXe management IP with username: service

Command: svc_cava

svc_cava

Service script for EMC VNXe/Celerra AntiVirus Agent (CAVA) interface

Error 2100: usage: svc_cava { | ALL }

          [ -audit | -update ]

        | [ -set accesstime={ now | none | [[[[yy]mm]dd]hh]mm[.ss] }]

        | [ -fsscan [ { -list | -create [offline] | -delete } ] ]

Additional Option:

  svc_cava logs - search for VC in server logs

Swapnil
