VNXe3150 CIF Server Add Local Account - Access Denied
my representative has installed us two CIF's servers, one of them (created in second place ) is failing to create a local user
The only difference we found between the CIF server created into first place respect to created second place, is that via MMC it shows two users (Administrator and Guest), the CIF server Created in second place users are empty
We try to create a user and get the message "access denied"
Someone may have an answer for this?
Thank in advance
Alejandro.

Hi
You may see this behavior if the user has created standalone CIFS share server and later added it in Domain.
Because in VNXe, CIFS server created with domain properties wont have local user support enable. but its not same for Standalone CIFS server. where local user support is by default on and hence you can see that option.
There is one more thing you can try for this kind of issue .
1 Map a cifs share on server with domain administrator password and only using FQDN name of CIFS server (do not try it with IP , it wont help us for our solution.)
2 MMC into CIFS share and connect to another comp, again using FQDN.
3 Check for local user support option (it might show it now.)
you can either give a try with above 2 workaround.
Update me.......
