First, is the array up and running - no fault lights?
Is this a new installation? Is the array brand new?
If this was an existing array then you need to know the IP address for the SP Management ports. If you know the IP addresses, can you ping the address? If you can ping the address successfully, can you use a browser (say IE 10) to access connect to the management port? You will need to install JAVA - I would recommend using JAVA 1.7.51 (I know it's old, but that version will work with the VNX5500).
The more information you can provide, the easier it will be in providing help. Also, if you have an EMC contract, you can also contact EMC support for additional help.
