how do I persuade syminq64 to recognise LP11000-E HBAs?

Server is a Oracle X4270M2 running Linux OEL 5.5 with Solutions-Enabler 7.2.0 (64 bit version).

The server's two HBAs definitely exist; 'cos the Unix team can show them to me. Here is their output.

[root@harry adrian]# /net/george/srv/kickstart/tools/fc.sh

#####################################################################
Host host7 is a EMC LPe11000-E 4Gb PCIe Fibre Channel Adapter on PCI bus 21 device 00 irq 146
World Wide Port Name 0x10000000c9b0519e
State is Link Down

#####################################################################
Host host8 is a EMC LPe11000-E 4Gb PCIe Fibre Channel Adapter on PCI bus 2f device 00 irq 154
World Wide Port Name 0x10000000c9d01341
State is Link Down

[root@harry adrian]#

... But SE disagrees; here is what I get.

[root@harry adrian]# symcli

Symmetrix Command Line Interface (SYMCLI) Version V7.2.0.0 (Edit Level: 1108)
built with SYMAPI Version V7.2.0.0 (Edit Level: 1108)

[root@harry adrian]# syminq64 hba

Host Name : harryCould not find any HBAs to list.

[root@harry adrian]#

Any clues, please

since you have solutions enabler installed, might try "symmask list hba"

Nice idea; and not one that I knew. Sadly this command behaves in the same manner as syminq. So *not* an actual solution. Thanks for replying.
