vSphere 6 to VNX5200 cannot add vasa storage provider

I have two vSphere environments where one is on vSphere 5 (production) and one is on vSphere 6 (test).  The production environment has no issue connecting to our VNX5200 VASA service url at https://vnxcs0:5989/vasa/services/vasaService.  However the vSphere 6 test I am doing to evaluate it before making it production is not going so well.  I go to add it in vsphere 6 and I get a security alert.

Unable to verify the authenticity of the specified host.

Issuer:CN=emcnas_i0,O=VNX Certificate Authority

Do you wish to proceed connecting anyway?

Choose "Yes" if you trust the host. The above information will be remembered until the host is removed from the inventory.

I choose yes, it says registering but then it comes back with "The provider certificate is invalid.  It is either empty, malformed, expired, not yet valid, revoked, or fails host name verification."

I did NOT have this problem on vSphere 5.  Any ideas?
