I too have not been able to get rid of the aboutblank:   I've loaded spybot, stringer, upgraded Norton, McAfee, etc., etc., and it keeps coming back.  I've been on the phone with Dell 3 times this week, each time being instructed to do something different, but again, nothing works.  If anyone out there has a full proof solution to this problem, please let me know.
