After startup, with no other programs running, RAM is at 80% capacity with 15 svchost.exe processes running.

While exploring another issue, windows diagnostics led me to an error message concerning the usage of the RAM memory.  Other discussions on the forum have led me to wonder if there is Malware on this machine, even though my detection software has been unable to isolate any.  Any help would be appreciated.
