DeLL Changed "Sign in" Procedure. Why?
I know this is minor but now I have to sign in with my E-Mail. I used to write just my user name until yesterday. Hey I do not like to save my user name or password, so now I have to write more:emotion-12:.

Be glad that you can sign in at all. I've been the only one on the Malware Removal Forum since Saturday because my two team members with active threads can no longer log in . I have a feeling that something must have changed on Friday or Saturday.

Don't get me wrong. I know that sometimes members have problems logging in, and for a moment there I thought my time had arrived and I would have to register again, but it wasn't so. Like you said something must have changed since no longer just my username is enough.
I posted to see if a moderator could shine a light about the matter, it was just that.

It's an "improvement"...kinda like the forum format that preceded this one. :emotion-18:
Thankfully, they have left this present forum format alone...for now. :emotion-42:

To Dell's Community Developers.
This is the Alert you got at the top of the community introduction page:
" Attention All Non-US/ Canada Community Members that may be experiencing login issues: If you are experiencing login issues please login by using your Dell My Account at your country’s dell.com site. We are working urgently to resolve this issue. "
It's been a week I am still using my "DeLL My Account" to sign in. Any good news when the matter will be resolved?

I never log out unless I accidentally delete the wrong cookie. They have had login issues before on previous board formats...the system wouldn't save my login cookie for some reason, so now I just make it a habit to stay logged in.

I am in the U.S. Since buying my new computer (I've had an account with Dell since 2003) or there abouts... I have had to use the Account login using my email addy.. I ordered my new computer Feb 19th and have been signing on since before that with my email address.
When I sign in using my email addy, I'm signed in to everything.. so that's easier, but it may be more unsecure while surfing through the whole site. You're in your Account, then on the Forums, then back to looking at new items in sales....
I think Dell has been hacked.. Be careful. I just got a strange email from some weird company "on behalf of Dell". I consider it SPAM and will delete it.
