Firewall crashed in McAfee Windows 8
Hi. I've been having an issue with my Firewall, for some reason it says it is disable, and when I try to activate it, it displays an error message that says " Can't change some settings from the configuration. Error code: 0x80070422". Currently I have windows 8 and when I try as well to install windows 8.1 it says it can't connect.
How could I solve this? I haven't done anything to my computer nor changed the settings, and for some reason I have this uncomfortable message that keeps me bugging me all day. How can I activate the Firewall?

Hi
I'm not sure whether you are referring to a McAfee firewall, or a Windows firewall problem. If it is a McAfee firewall problem, you might have to contact McAfee. What is the exact name of the McAfee product you are using?
Detailed instructions that might repair a Window's 8 firewall problem with this error code are given here, in the first reply to the original post in this thread:
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-windows_update/error-code-0x80070422-windows-firewall/b078f47e-6406-4b49-8ed2-46314a37ce76
Be sure to read follow the directions exactly. Note that you will have to either disable or uninstall your AV/Security suite prior to installing/running the Windows Repair utility. After following the instructions, be sure to re-enable/re-install your security.
Let us know if this works. If not, there are other options to explore.
