HELP...Trojan is crippling my Computer!

Good Morning,

 

Well, for the last few days my Computer has gone crazy.  The Monitor goes (all) black at Windows StartUp (and keeps doing so on and off). Desktop icons have gone missing. Some Windows functions such as "search" no longer work. The Computer freezes up or crashes (Computer also VERY slow). Outlook Express opens itself and sends out e-mails to anonymous e-mail accounts on the web (I'm not doing this).

 

This Computer, desktop PC, is a Dell Dimension 4600C (Win XP Home Edition) and, lately, I've noticed problems in updating software programs (such as Norton), hence any and all help would be appreciated.

 

I ran Norton Internet Security 2008 & Malwarebytes' Anti-Mareware, yet this has NOT solved the problem.
