Hacker attack!

BEWARE! A trojan is circulating via email again.

The message may claim to be from UPS (United Parcel Service) about a package that couldn't be delivered. I got 2 of these hacker emails today (6-22-10). Another forum user said his email claimed to be from the US Post Office, so keep in mind that these hackers may be spoofing any of the major parcel delivery services.

The attachment is a zipped "invoice" file. DO NOT -repeat - do not open it. It will hijack your system and prevent you from connecting to the net unless you pay them for their "software". It's just plain extortion and the hacker should be shot! :emotion-39:

Be careful out there!

Ron,

Thanks for the warning.... and thanks for taking my suggestion, to post such alerts in the virus/spyware forum, where they potentially have a much larger audience than in the "private" forum you were using previously.

Except many of the people in that forum probably don't read this one. And if it's posted here, it will eventually get lost as new threads are created.

When the experts in that other forum see it over there, they'll remember and take the knowledge with them when they read the forums where they like to hang out. :emotion-5:
