Good job

First Reboot your PC into Safe Mode
This can be done by
  • Restart your PC, and after it starts, but before you see the Windows Splash screen
Begin tapping the F8 key twice a second untill you reach another menu screen (black background with white menu choices)
Use your arrow keys and select Safe Mode and then Enter

Next Go to Add/Remove Programs (Click Start->>Control panel->>Add/Remove programs)
And uninstall the following programs
  • Search Relevancy
    TopSearch
    WebRebates (by TopRebates.com)
    WebSearch Toolbar
    WebSearch Tools
    Win-Tools Easy Installer (by WebSearch)

Close Add/Remove programs

Reboot your PC into Normal mode->>Rerun Hijackthis and post a fresh Hijackthis log

Good job so far

First Please go here

And Download SmitFraudFix by S!ri
  • Save it to your desktop
Rt click->>Extract all->>And extract it to your desktop
    Open the Smitfraudfix folder
    Double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select 1 and hit Enter to create a report of the infected files. The report can be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt
Open that file, Ctrl+A to copy, and post a copy of that log as a reply to this thread
Do Not run option 2 until instructed to do so

Did you have any problems downloading SmitFraudfix? Any antivirus warnings?

Let's do this;

First Open Taskmanager (Rt Click a Blank space on your lower toolbar->>Taskmanager
  • Under the processes tab Locate

    • DeskAdServ.exe
      DeskAdKeep.exe

Hilite them one at a time (left click with the mouse)
    and Select " End process"
    Close taskmanger

Next Rerun Hijackthjis and place a check beside the following entry
  • O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [DeskAd Service] C:\Program Files\DeskAd Service\DeskAdServ.exe

Close all other open windows except Hiijackthis and Select " Fix checked"

If prompted to reboot Select No and close Hijackthis

Next Using Windows Explorer
  • (Right click on "Start," select "Explore," and you will see the "tree' of file folders in the left side of the window. Click on the "+" next to any folder name to expand its contents)

Locate and delete the following folder
  • C:\Program Files\DeskAd Service

Reboot your PC->>Rerun Hijackthis and post a fresh Hijackthis log

O.k. Let's do this

Open the Hijackthis folder and locate Hijackthis.exe. Rt Click and Select Rename.

And rename Hijackthis.exe to H.exe.

Then Rerun Hijackthis (but now it should be H.exe) and post a fresh log please

Have a little problem. some of the Hijackthis logs you have posted are with Hijackthis version 1.97.7, like the one you just posted.
Previously you have posted with Hijackthis version 1.99.1

What we need to do is delete Hijackthis version 1.97.7 .

Then I need you repost your Hijackthis log using version 1.99.1 please.:smileyhappy:
