Just got broadband - computer keeps saying RPC - remote procedure and then shutting down in 60 seconds
Can anyone help?
I have an uptodate version of norton installed - but cant seem to find or locate any bugs / viruses.
System keeps shutting down every so often after saying RPC.
Demon ( new broadband provider ) tell me that it could be a virus - but cant seem to find one in the system - nor can I detroy what I cant find
Any help????

But to keep from getting reinfected, you need to get the WindowsXP internal firewall turned on (or use another firewall), get Windows up to date with critical and security fixes, and be sure you anti-virus is running and up to date.
