Log attached. Thanks in advance for help :)

I know I had and / or have a virus PE_TRATS.A-O & TROJ_VUNDO.ACA on my notebook (maybe others too, I can't scan at this point).  Now I can't access the internet, my trend micro pc int sec 12 is not working properly, system restore doesn't work and icons have disappeared from my notification area toolbar.
 
I have tried to fix things with no luck, so here is the log.  I didn't see a box to check about formatting so I hope this comes over ok - if not, I know you will let me know.  :)

When we are finished and the infection is gone, you will probably have to reinstall your wireless. Be sure to check for any updated drivers. If your computer is still under warranty, you could call Dell Support. If not, try posting on the Wireless board:

We have some registry entries to fix that have no files associated with them because they were infected and had to be removed.

Open Notepad and copy/paste the following text between the dotted lines into it. Do not copy the dotted lines.

it is in trend micro int sec 12 (the installed one that is only partially working)

possibly there are more viruses?  i can't open the virus log.  i am only able to see the info above and it only gives me the last virus found.
 
i don't know how it does this when i can't run a scan (real-time scan maybe?) . . . everything that is not working in this program gives me the message This feature is still initializing.  Wait a few moments and try again later.

  • Back at the main window, click "Select drives" (a red dot will show which drives have been chosen)

I ran the short scan - done no viruses found.  then went under options and unchecked the box went to follow the rest of the instructions but at the main menu I don't see the select drives as stated above. 

I am still in the program and will wait to here back.  Thanks!

That C:\System...\RP84\ A0039827.exe
is probably in your System Volume Information. That is your System Restore. It cannot get out of there unless you do a System Restore. We will take care of that at the end.

Please download DrWeb-CureIt & save it to your desktop. DO NOT perform a scan yet.

Reboot your computer in SAFE MODE using the F8 method. To do this, restart your computer and after hearing your computer beep once during startup (but before the Windows icon appears) press the F8 key repeatedly. A menu will appear with several options. Use the arrow keys to navigate and select the option to run Windows in "Safe Mode".

Scan with DrWeb-CureIt as follows:
  • Double-click on cureit.exe to start the program. An "Express Scan of your PC" notice will appear.
  • Under "Start the Express Scan Now", Click "OK" to start. This is a short scan that will scan the files currently running in memory and when something is found, click the Yes button when it asks you if you want to cure it.
  • Once the short scan has finished, Click Options > Change settings
  • Choose the "Scan tab" and UNcheck "Heuristic analysis"
  • Back at the main window, click "Select drives" (a red dot will show which drives have been chosen)
  • Then click the "Start/Stop Scanning" button (green arrow on the right) and the scan will start.
  • When done, a message will be displayed at the bottom advising if any viruses were found.
  • Click "Yes to all" if it asks if you want to cure/move the file.
  • When the scan has finished, look if you can see the icon next to the files found. If so, click it, then click the next icon right below and select "Move incurable".
  • ( This will move it to the C:\Documents and Settings\userprofile\DoctorWeb\Quarantine folder if it can't be cured)
  • Next, in the Dr.Web CureIt menu on top, click file and choose save report list.
  • Save the DrWeb.csv report to your desktop.
  • Exit Dr.Web Cureit when done.
  • Important! Reboot your computer because it could be possible that files in use will be moved/deleted during reboot.
  • After reboot, post the contents of the log from Dr.Web in your next reply. (You can use Notepad to open the DrWeb.cvs report)
Please include a fresh HijackThis log as well.

while i was waiting i did an express scan again and a virus was found in aolconnfix.exe.  but I still can't find a select drive to finish the instructions.  i will print the log that is there now but i did not finish this process.

one question before the complete scan, do I still uncheck the above box?
 
i am at work now and will be home early afternoon and will run the scan then.

this is taking awhile   76% done
 
it is moving incurable files, but also deleting some . . . i didn't know it would delete . . . i guess that is ok, a couple things it doesn't show the action.
