Welcome :) Yes, I see some issues in your log. Please note that the infections that we need to clean need to be fixed in a specific order or they will return. Therefore, following these steps as written is important.

Please download Combofix from here: http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/combofix.exe
Or
http://www.techsupportforum.com/sectools/sUBs/ComboFix.exe
** Take note that the links are case sensitive

Save ComboFix to the desktop.

1. Double click on combo.exe & follow the prompts.
2. When finished, it will produce a logfile located at C:\ComboFix.txt.

Note:
Do not mouseclick Combofix's window while it is running. That may cause your system to stall/hang.
Do not proceed with the rest of the fix if you fail to run combofix.

Please delete your outdated copy of HijackThis and please download the new version. That will show us even more about what we are dealing with.

Please download HJT Installer from Here to your desktop.
If not available use this alternate link: Here

Click the Download button.
When the Trend Micro HJT install box appears, double click on the HJTInstall.exe.
Click on Install.

It will be installed by default here: C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis

A shortcut to the application will also be placed on your Desktop.

The program will open automatically after installation.

You can double-click the icon that was placed on the Desktop to run subsequent HijackThis scans or you can use the icon inside the folder.
The folder HijackThis is where you will find the HJT logs that you save. When you use the application to remove anything, you will also find the backup copies made by HJT inside this folder.

Click on " Do a system scan and save logfile" When the log pops up in Notepad, copy and paste that file along with the log from ComboFix and post both in your next reply here.
DO NOT have HijackThis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

Before closing HJT, please click on the AnalyzeThis button. Close the web page that appears and then close the program HJT.

If the forum software will not take all the text from both logs, just use several posts by replying to yourself until all text is posted.

Thanks you for helping me out and here are the two logs you asked for. So far everything worked the way your directions said the would.

We're getting there, but we have more work to do...

Please run ComboFix once more, following the same instructions above, and post a new log from that as well as a fresh HijackThis log.

Thanks. We're not done yet. Those critters are not leaving easily.

Open Notepad. Copy/paste the following bold text below into it:

File::
C:\WINDOWS\system32\qwerty12.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\d3ddlv.dll
c:\windows\system32\ssqrsro.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\dn2c07bc1e.dat

Registry::
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\~\Browser Helper Objects\{0d6ed790-a13a-4dc1-abe0-a9754450e87a}]
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\winlogon\notify\d3ddlv]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\windows]
"appinit_dlls"=""

Save as CFScript.txt

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Referring to the picture above, drag CFScript into ComboFix.exe
You will be prompted to run Combofix again. Follow the same instructions you did before for running ComboFix.

CAUTION: Do not mouse-click ComboFix while it is running. It may cause it to stall.

When finished, a log is produced here: C:\ComboFix.txt

Please provide the contents of the new ComboFix log in your next reply along with a new HijackThis log, and let me know how things are running.

We're making progress, but we have one that doesn't want to leave.
Please print these instructions so you can follow them easily. This is a powerful tool, so we need to be very careful.

1. Please download The Avenger by Swandog46
from here: http://swandog46.geekstogo.com/avenger.zip
Download it to your Desktop.

* Click on Avenger.zip to open the file
* Extract avenger.exe to your desktop

2. Copy all the text between the dotted lines below to your Clipboard (Do not copy the dotted lines -- just the text.):

-----------------

Files to delete:

c:\windows\system32\ssqrsro.dll

----------------

Note: the above code was created specifically for this user. If you are not this user, do NOT follow these directions as they could damage the workings of your system.

3. Now, start The Avenger program by clicking on its icon on your desktop.

* Under "Script file to execute" choose "Input Script Manually".
* Now click on the Magnifying Glass icon which will open a new window titled "View/edit script"
* Paste the text copied to clipboard into this window
* Click Done
* Now click on the Green Light to begin execution of the script
* Answer "Yes" twice when prompted.

4. The Avenger will automatically do the following:

* Restart your computer. ( In cases where the code to execute contains "Drivers to Unload", The Avenger will actually restart your system twice.)
* On reboot, briefly open a black command window on your desktop, this is normal.
* After the restart, create a log file that should open with the results of Avenger’s actions. This log file will be located at C:\avenger.txt
* The Avenger will also have backed up all the files, etc., that you asked it to delete, and will have zipped them and moved the zip archives to C:\avenger\backup.zip.

5. Please copy/paste the content of avenger.txt into your reply along with a fresh HJT log by using Reply.

Hi, and welcome back.

"the clipboard":
That means to highlight the text and right-click > Copy. (That way it will be copied so you can paste it into the program.)

July 15th, 2007 21:00

When i clicked the green light to start it i clicked yes like you said. But then after that it came up saying Error: selected file does not appear to be a valid script"
And it wont start

Delete Avenger.

Please download KILLBOX, extract it to your desktop.
If not available, here are some alternate links for the download:
http://downloads.subratam.org/KillBox.exe.
http://www.killbox.net/

Note: In the event you already have Killbox, this is a new version that I need you to download
Save it to your Desktop.

Please double-click Killbox.exe to run it.
Select: Delete on Reboot
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Click on the Single File button.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Please copy the file path below to the clipboard by highlighting it and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy):

c:\windows\system32\ssqrsro.dll

Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose Paste from Clipboard.

Click the red-and-white Delete File button.
Click Yes at the Delete on Reboot prompt.
Click OK at any PendingFileRenameOperations prompt (and please let me know if you receive this message.).

If your computer does not restart automatically, please restart it manually into normal mode.

[Note: Killbox makes backups of all deleted files & folders in a folder called C:\!killbox ]
If Killbox tells you any files are missing don't worry but make a note and let us know in your next reply.

Also, please post a fresh Hijackthis log and let me know how things are running.

July 19th, 2007 01:00

It seems to be running well

Things are looking much better, but we're not finished.

Please launch HijackThis and place a checkmark next to these if they still exist:

Referring to the picture above, drag CFScript into ComboFix.exe
You will be prompted to run Combofix again. Follow the same instructions you did before for running ComboFix.
CAUTION: Do not mouse-click ComboFix while it is running. It may cause it to stall.

When finished, a log is produced here: C:\ComboFix.txt

Reboot.

Please provide the contents of the new ComboFix log in your next reply along with a new HijackThis log, and let me know how things are running.

Edit 8/27: Are you still using Limewire?
