Uninstall McAfee
McAfee Virus Scan was installed with our new Dell computer. Now that the introductory offer has expired, I want to download a Norton antivirus program that came with our ISP, Juno. I have tried several times to uninstall McAfee without success. Each time I try, I get a message that the components cannot be initialized. I have tried removing the program in SAFE mode as well, without success. Is it possible that I'm missing the uninstall component on my computer? Who should I contact for help?

Try going on McAfee web-site. They have a chat with a tech who should be able to help you. They helped me uninstall the software!

I am also experiencing problems with not being able to un-install the trial version of McAfee that I did not ask for, but came with my Dimension 5150. I spent a fair amount of time with the McAfee tech on the chat system last night, but without success. Could you provide some pointers on how you amnaged to resolve the problem.
