how do you uninstall mcafee from windows 7?
I have just got a laptop at Christmas time and it came with free one month trial of McAfee but I want to uninstall it but don't know how. Anything I go to that tells you how to do it tells me to go to control panel and uninstall it from there but McAfee does not appear in control panel! Is there another way to uninstall it? the operating system is windows 7. I would really appreciate any help or advice especially if you have also experienced the same problem and know how to resolve it.

Addendum:
There is also a McAfee Removal Tool (MCPR.exe) which *should* completely uninstall all remnants of McAfee, if the above does not work. I didn't include it above, because the download page did not indicate it was for Windows 7.
This thread indicates it is compatible with Win7, and gives instructions and the download link for the Removal Tool:

CHeck to see if under the start menu icon there is a uninstall, if there is use that to uninstall I remove mine as soon as I get the computer.
