In order to reimage SPB you need to replace the other failed drive in slot 3. Due to the drive showing as faulted you can just pull the drive, wait about 2 minutes and then replace it. Once the drive is replaced it should try to start a rebuild.
I understand what you are saying, but I just want to make sure that the correct disk exchange sequence would be this: 1 - remove disk 1 (replaced by hotspare), insert a new one and wait for the rebuild to complete. 2 - then remove disk 3, replace it with a new one and wait for the rebuild to complete. 3 - reboot SPB If everything goes well, then I will have SPB online, and the two discs replaced. I just have the doubt if when disk 1 is ok, what will be the behavior of the hotspare. will he start trying to replace disc 3, or this not happen because the disc is removed?
When you image an SP, it is written on 2 drives. With SPB the 2 drives are 1&3. If you only replace drive 1 and then try to reimage the SP it most likely will fail as it is still missing the second drive to copy the flare to. With a drive of that size it should take no more than 2 days to complete.
So rebuilding disk 1 does not load FLARE on this disk, even if it is the primary partition of SP? then i will have to rebuild the two disks and then load the flare on the two disks? Can't FLARE be copied from one of the SPA disks (0 and 2)? The problem is that I can't find any documentation on how to reimage a CX3-10c.
If both drive 1 & 3 failed at the same time, then in most cases that I have seen you will need to reload the flare. Now there are some cases that I have seen when customers haven’t had to reload the flare as it was able to be rebuilt from the alt SP and drive 4 parity drive.
If both drives failed at the same time, I would say no. Now with that said I have seen it still rebuild & SP come back online once completed. You will need to have a valid support contract in order to download the flare & instructions.
I replaced both discs and now they are enabled and horspare is not replacing any discs. First equalized disk 0, then rebuilding and enabling. then rebuilding the hotspare to replace disk 3. At the end i replace disk 3, did the equalizing and rebuilding, and removed the replacement from the spare disk. The SPB is still empty. I tried a reboot by the navisphere manager at SPA, but it still says "Invalid. Invalid boot fault information", and this components status: -CPU, DIM's and IO MODULE a functioning normally -BE Port - Copper SFP Status: not available -No FE Ports available
Do I have to replace the copper SFP module in SPB?
When I left the second disc to rebuilding, the blue leds were connected to the SPB.

Hello Sam
When you say
"In order to reimage SPB you need to replace the other failed drive in slot 3"
do you mean that even after disk 1 is rebuilded there is still no FALRE OS to try to boot the SPB?
Do you have an idea of the time to rebuild a 146GB FC Disk, in a production system?
Thanks again for your help.

Hi Sam
So i can’t count on the reduild through the hotspare disk, makes the flare partition available?
And what is the procedure for loading the flare? Can I download the necessary software? Where can I find all these items?
Best Regards

Hi
I did the full reboot and nothing has changed.
why doesn't the rebuild of the discs make the flare software available for SP?
Best Regards

You probably are going to want to call phone support and have it escalated.
