Dell XPS 730X , AlienFX, and Windows 10
The 730x is still a beauty, so I decided to pick one up. I just recently bought a Dell XPS 730X of Craigslist. It's running Windows 10 flawless. Everything is working great even the Alienware AlienFX Lighting and XPS Thermal Monitor running. I flashed the bios to the Bios A11B , that i ran into when researching for latest bios. I'm looking to to upgrade the CPU to i7-990X , 16GB RAM , and maybe get the H2C water cooling module.

Can you tell me whether you are using the Broadcom Ethernet Adapter?
I've got a 730x with the original 1.0.5 Bios, and have issues with the network connection dropping out (Adapters go to "Unidentified Network")
This same machine ran 7 flawlessly for the past few years.

I am using wireless card. The Ethernet adapter itself always disconnect. I don't know why.

hiya how did you get windows 10 to work? xps 730 crashes on it for me. also what mobo do you need for the i7 and 16gb of ram, need to know as i am thinking of upgrading parts but cant find anywhere online that tells me
