I am having problems getting the correct version of Windows 10. I keep getting the Windows 7 version. How can I get the Windows 8.1 version?

How are you trying to get the update? If all updates are installed and you got the little windows icon in the notification area and used it to register for the upgrade, then Microsoft will send you the upgrade and tell you when you can install it. Or you can get the upgrade by using the Microsoft Media creation Tool.

You are obviously looking in the wrong place.
