Inspiron 5575, not starting after a sys restore
After doing a windows restore to 17/8/19 I am unable to start my DELL laptop, I get a screen saying “sys restore is initialising then Sys restore is restoring the registry" it remained on that message for ever and eventually shut down.
I restarted and got the blue screen “your machine ran into some problems and needs to restart" but it shut down and remained in that condition so I had to restart and got Support Assist running sys scan, result no issues, SA then shows Error OS-Boot-Failure detected and repaired, you can safely restart your computer. If problem persists it may pay to run this sys again. Trouble is cant start the computer???
It showed at one point SA OS recovery V4.1.0.6830.
All the above was taken from rough notes that I scribbled down while performing the task and I may have missed something important.
I assume that this is a W10 issue and not DELL, so now relying on my old desktop (Vista) to sort out the problem, thank goodness I kept it.
After advice on windows forum I have d/l what I assume is the W10 reboot/recovery drive (WIN19-1903-v1-English-x64.iso ) to a usb stick, I inserted it to my DELL laptop and pressed start and kept pressing F12 but just got the same results as above.
Purchased in May 2019
PC details = prod name inspiron 5575
Sys Bios 1.1.9
Service tag =
Edsa build 4306.12.uefi ron
I am obviously not doing things correctly so, is there a way of doing a DELL restore bearing in mind the pc wont start (on my inspiron 530 desktop it was easy to do this during start procedure) failing that is there a recovery CD or usb stick that will do it?
