Media Feature Pack
My houseguest is getting this message when she runs an app, "In order to see a PDF, you need some multimedia functions that you don't have currently. You can install the Media Feature Pack in oder to see this PDF." (The actual message is in Spanish.) This laptop was purchased from Amazon and delivered in the U.S. (Why does she need the The Media Feature Pack, which I understand is needed only for European and South Korea units?) The Media Feature Pack refused to install. What do I do about this? She needs it for her business. The website software works on my W10 laptop, a W8.1 laptop, and on my Kindle Fire.

Sounds like the system shipped with the N version of Windows 10 -- in which case you'll need to download and install the media features pack -- or use another free PDF reader (Adobe, Foxit, etc.).
Make sure you've fully updated Windows before installing the latest media pack.
