XPS 13 9365 = Sleep and Hibernate problem after Fall creator, computer goes to AIRPLANE mode
The post talking abou this subject seems to have been closed
without reason as the problem is NOT SOLVED
The computer is still not going to sleep or hibernate but instead of this goes ao AIRPLANE
There is post from "Robert" but doesn;t solve anything = I have Toshiba SSD in the computer not an INtel SSD !!
No fix for the moment

There is a setting in the registry you might check. I would but I have the rolled back system right now.
Look under the following key and see if HibernateEnabled is enabled or not. Mine shows a 1 for enabled. HiberFileSizPercent shows 0.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power
There is a thread on the general hardware forum concerning the new 8th generation processor XPS 13 9360s.. Same symptoms we show on our system.

I have a 7th generation processor in i7-7y75 as it is 2 in 1 computer
the settings are exactly the same 1 for Hibernate
and 0 for the size
Do you suggest to change size to 1 ?
I could try if you think it is a safe move.?

I checked mine and it shows the same on the bad system as the good install. So no help there...

To complete the finding here is the sentence on the MSN site
User prediction
In Windows 10 version 1709, user usage prediction no longer triggers Hibernate. This is a change from previous versions of Windows. Windows continues to support automatically transitioning from Hibernate back to Modern Standby based on user prediction, however this requires that the device implement RTCWake or the Time & Device Alarm object in ACPI.
However I have not clue what means RTCWake and + TIme & Device Alarm in ACPI"
Some ideas ?

I tried to elimnate the option HIBERNATE, it doesn't bring a lot to the batery life.
THe best is really to shut down all software having often attend to the internet and mainly Chrome for exemple, this has for sure a lot of action to the batery life.
But this is still not the way it should work = hibernate in a notebook with 4000 batery is a must

In earlier builds, there was a power option to allow the system to save power when it knew the user was away. In the latest build, this is no longer an option but there is an option for Windows to control the network connection when on battery.
I could only guess this is what is meant concerning the Real Time Clock. I have looked for an explanation of the Windows controlling the network but can find no description for this option.

Hello all here,
today I would say quite a bad news for me.
New BIOS for Dell XPS to new version 1.1.0
No change at all for hibernate or sleep
No other drivers or any help availbale anywhere ?

There are zero options right now that return the system back to it's previous working state. Dell doesn't know what the problem is as they don't write any (?) of the drivers for their hardware and it's very evident they do not test the drivers for the hardware.
You could uninstall the Fall Creator's update and attempt to wait it out and prevent the update from reinstalling for a while.... But, that's a frustrating solution I know. I switched to an older laptop while I wait for a solution to the problem.

Aaron_wp = very good news = zero option = at least realistic
Unfortunatelly I have not the option to get another computer for my Business trips...
Where do you think is the problem ? Drivers ? BIOS ? others ?

95%+ likelihood of a driver issue being incompatible with the latest version of Windows. Can you roll back to the previous version of Windows 10?

Unfortunately NO WAY
In fact to try to solve the problem at the very beginning I tried the INSIDER versions, and then I had noway to come back to a version before Creator Falls.
I had just a follow-up of some Dell guy saying to always try to update all drivers and even GPU.
I have the newest BIOS and all the rest and nothing helps for the moment.
Not sure how to make INTEL aware of our problem as they are the main one in this =
GPU
Bluetooth
Wifi
And it could be one of those one making the mess.....

Someone on the forum pointed out some dump files I was not aware of. When I checked them with Windbg, it saw something interesting.

Hello all here
yesterday i want to reinstall win10 1609，when i modified the boot sequence，the notebook cann't get up.
so i do a The Real Time Clock (RTC) reset to recover 。
and i find everything goes well ！！
you can try it。 please note the bios which you change before 。e.g UEFI ACHI
